If, in some alternate universe, The Queens of the Stone Age met up with King’s X, and went to the Viper Room for a David Bowie show, The Darling Vendetta would be the opening act. Their no-nonsense, and loud but melodic sound is at the same time, both familiar and new. The Darling Vendetta is about the songs and the mood, not about the what the style of the time is. They could have been equally as home in the the swagger of the 70’s, flash of the 80’s, or crunch of the 90’s as they are right here and now.
